We’ve heard the same advice over and over: “Stop looking so hard,” “It’ll happen when you least expect it.” That advice didn’t stop the two most stubborn people you know from trying every which way, and after years of dating in New York, much to our annoyance, they were right.

The last date before taking a total break from the apps turned out to be the last person we’d ever need to swipe right on. The first date became two, then three, then a date every other day for the first two weeks. This was serious, but it was also different, in the best way.

From the start, we were never satisfied with surface-level curiosity. It was never “Do you think vibranium is tougher than Thor’s hammer?” but rather “Do you think vibranium has the potential to destabilize the gold market in their world?” That different way of thinking ended up shaping everything we did together, and we couldn’t get enough! We became inseparable.

Before we knew it, that last like on the app turned into an “I love you” on the dance floor (with Bad Bunny blasting in the background), and then into a “Will you marry me?” at the top of a castle in Lisbon.

Now here we are

Getting ready to marry in front of our friends and family. We can’t wait to see you there and shout “we love you” (with Bad Bunny blasting in the background)!
